(R)BTs (Registered) Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with kids who are on the autism spectrum to help them build real-life skills. So things like communication (practicing making friends), independence (like zipping up their coats on their own), and emotional regulation (like not panicking when they run out of their favorite cereal — something we can all learn, honestly).
Oh, and P.S. You’re not on your own. A BCBA (an ABA expert with professional certification) will guide you and instruct you every step of the way, from training to day-to-day support!

They are very quick in getting you started, offer great flexibility, and give thorough training. The hiring managers are sweet and understanding, checking up on you incrementally. My BCBA was great and gave me plenty of training and assistance.

I appreciate how the company pays for the RBT exams but you still are able to work during the study time. They’re pretty fast at giving cases to the therapist. You literally can start with a high school diploma and work your way up.
As a student, this was great since I didn’t want this job to become full time or to consume most of my time. They train you very well and prepare you for your cases. BCBAs will be very helpful and so will the the rest of your team
